Trimming a piece of granite countertop Description

Hi:

We are looking to replace a refrigerator and (http://maplered.com) in measuring the opening, I
noted that while the cabinets are exactly 36 inches apart, and (http://maplered.com) would thus
accomodate refrigerators 35 inches wide, the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) top on one side
overhangs the cabinet by almost an inch, narrowing the opening to 35 inches,
a poor size for selection of a refrigerator.  The piece of Granite (http://tanbrown.org) that
overhangs the cabinet is relatively small; how hard would it be to remove
the top and (http://maplered.com) take it somewhere to be cut, and (http://maplered.com) then reinstall it?  Is that
something I could do myself (at least the removal and (http://maplered.com) the reinstallation)?
Can you recommend someone in the Boston area who could do the trimming of
the piece of Granite (http://tanbrown.org) ? (and (http://maplered.com) or also the removal and (http://maplered.com) the reinstallation)?

Thanks,

Michael Loucks
